Curiosity is her key ingredient in food.

Meera Vasudevan

Everyone knows the phrase ‘food for thought’. For Meera however, it’s ‘Food as it should be thought about’. She delves deeply into understanding the relationship between consumers, their food choices and their wellness quotient. To her, knowing the consumer comes front and center and fuels her capability to build innovative product pipelines. This curiosity stems from her early years as a specialist qualitative researcher, co-founding Quantum Consumer Solutions in India. From this began her journey as an entrepreneur around the world. Meera co-founded Preferred Brands International (PBI), a US-headquartered food company, where she led global Marketing and Innovation for brand ‘Tasty Bite’.

She also co-founded ASG-Omni LLC, a successful strategy consulting firm, designing entry strategies for US corporations into South Asia. More recently, Meera relocated after almost 30 years in America, to Singapore, and co-founded C-SAW (Center for the Spread of Affordable Wellness), focusing on accelerating wellness food, beverage and agri startups globally as also providing advisory & product innovation services to both large and small food companies. Meera also runs the Meera & Ashok Vasudevan Foundation.

A three-decade CPG industry veteran Ex Unilever, he built a billion-dollar International business across 50 brands in more than 100 countries. His energy is contagious, and his experience is cross-disciplinary. He brings in rich experience of creating and managing new age CPG business models. He believes in converting challenges to opportunities. He believes everyone should have access to good, nutritious food, and it should not be limited to just a privileged few. This commitment is central to his mission and the mission of UMA Global Foods.

Ashok Vasudevan

Deeply committed to providing affordable wellness, Ashok’s foundations were sown in the soil as a student of food and agriculture from his days at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India. After graduating from Harvard Business School, Ashok has further nurtured this commitment in both the corporate and entrepreneurial worlds. His career included being a corporate executive at Unilever and Pepsi before being co-founder of Tasty Bite and CEO of Preferred Brand International. Ashok also co-founded ASG-Omni LLC, a highly successful strategy consulting firm based in the USA and C-Saw ( A Center for the Spread of Affordable Wellness).
